Institutional Relations

The Technical Secretariat for Food Security receives technical and financial support from the Food Security and Nutrition Information Program funded by the European Union and implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization.

Donors :

In addition to government funding represented in the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, there are current donors such as the Food Security and Nutrition Information Program funded by the European Union and implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization, which provides strategic guidance in the form of initial project formulation, and strategic guidance through the Steering Committee and consultative meetings with implementing agencies.

Implementing agencies :

The Technical Secretariat is operationally and technically managed by the Government represented by the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation and supported by the Food Security and Nutrition Information Program funded by the European Union and implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization.

The primary functions of the implementing agencies are to provide operational and executive management for the technical secretariat to carry out its tasks. The executive management includes ensuring compliance with appropriate administrative financial procedures and personnel matters in line with the legal obligations of the donors and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, and the technical department includes the provision of technical support on specific technical activities Strategy development, decision making and technical publications.

The Technical Secretariat for Food Security currently receives technical support from the Food Security and Nutrition Information Program funded by the European Union and implemented by FAO, in addition to technical support from a few partners including GIZ, IFPRI.
